John undertook his dental training in Bristol, qualifying in 1984. He gained a broad range of experience in the Community Dental Service, in general practice and in a hospital setting before deciding to specialize in orthodontics. John undertook his orthodontic training at Guys Hospital in London and completed his specialist training in 1993.
In addition to establishing his orthodontic practice, John worked as a Clinical Supervisor at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London, training its postgraduate students.
Emma Smith

Emma began dental nursing after leaving school in 1990. Working in an orthodontic practice she also attended Barnfield College in the evenings, and became a qualified dental nurse in 1993. Emma went on to achieve qualifications in radiography, oral health education and orthodontic nursing.
In 2010 Emma fulfilled her ambition to become an orthodontic therapist, qualifying from Bristol Dental Hospital with a prize for top student. She now carries out orthodontic procedures for patients closely following treatment prescriptions from John Evans.
Teohna Angel

After starting her Dental Nursing career in 2001, Teohna went onto gain her National Certificat in Dental Nursing in 2004. Having worked in General Practice, she moved to the Community Dental Service alongside working as a Dental Nurse Advisor for NHS Direct for many years. She joined our team at the beginning of 2014 and has since gone on to achieve her qualification in Orthodontic Nursing.
Sue Benson

Sue has worked for John Evans for ten years. She qualified as a dental nurse in 1996, while working for the local Community Dental Service. She has previously worked in a general practice and during her time at John Evans Orthodontic Practice, has gained a wealth of experience in orthodontic nursing and the general smooth running of the practice. Sue now works in the reception and also assists in the surgery when required.
