First Enquiry and Assessment
We offer an end-to-end service; our staff will care for you from the moment we first hear from you, until your final review.
Your journey begins with a new patient enquiry phone call or email. Your initial appointment will be thorough: you’ll fill out a medical history questionnaire and we will take photographs and relevant x-rays that will complement our thorough clinical examination.
This will be followed by a discussion about your treatment options and we will show you before and after photos of similar cases. Costs will also be discussed. All that is discussed will be detailed on a Clinical Report, and if requested, a letter will be sent to your referring dentist to keep them updated.
Treatment
No two sets of teeth are the same, so no treatment plan is the same – each one is bespoke. The duration of treatment will be outlined in your treatment plan and will depend on your specific orthodontic problem and your brace type. During treatment, we’ll ask you to come in for a check up once every six -to-eight weeks so we can check on progress. We want to make sure your teeth are heading in the right direction!
The rest of the time it is up to you to look after your teeth and braces. How well you keep to your oral hygiene routine determines the result of your treatment. If you have any questions about what you can or can’t eat, or better brushing techniques, you can always give us a call. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have. You can also take a look at our Brace Care Videos which are very informative.
Post Treatment and Retention
When your treatment is over, we’re pretty confident that you will be very happy with the outcome. We continue seeing our patients regularly for post-treatment reviews for at least a year and continue to monitor the wearing of retainers thereafter as and when needed.
Retainers are the best means of maintaining your fabulous new smile post-treatment. We’re experts in the selection and fitting of all kinds of retainer as there are different types available. There are two main types: – fixed/bonded and removable.
Throughout, we’ll be available at the other end of the phone, we aim to make sure any worries you have are completely answered.
